The city rises behind her, crowded and restless, but her eyes are closed. Wind pulls at her hair and the feathers tangled in it, and she lets it. Her red lips are calm. She’s someone who learned that strength isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s choosing stillness while the world rushes past.
Inspired by my daughter who’s continued strength amazes me everyday.
12”x12”x1.5” mixed media oil painting on a cradled Gesso board. Arrives ready to hang. Makes a wonderful gift for those with a bold soul
